Andy Sykes, a seasoned strength and conditioning expert, has a rich background in youth athletics, excelling in various sports, including Soccer, Rugby, Hockey, Tennis, Cross Country, Basketball, and Bowling. His passion for Bowling led him to represent Team England, where he earned multiple international medals, catching the attention of the U.S. bowling community. This recognition opened the door for Andy to bowl for Wichita State University (WSU), home to the world’s top bowling program. As a varsity bowler, he completed his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and worked as a personal trainer.
Building on his knowledge, Andy pursued a master’s degree in exercise physiology and took on the role of health and fitness coordinator at WSU. In this capacity, he managed the university’s fitness classes, personal training programs, and massage therapy services. Additionally, Andy was hired by the academic department to teach courses in Sports Nutrition, Strength & Conditioning, and Personal Training certifications.
After a decade of dedication to WSU and its students, Andy sought new challenges and decided to launch his own business—Amplify. His mission is to bring top-tier strength and conditioning expertise to clients and athletes, helping them lead healthier lives and reach their full potential.
